The Women's Career Grants program aims to ease financial barriers to employment and help women rejoin the workforce with confidence.

With grants of up to $4,999, this initiative helps cover the costs of transitioning back into work for women who’ve been out of the workforce for six months or more.

Applications for the second round of this program will open on 23 March 2026.

To apply you will need to submit a completed ID verification form that is signed and witnessed by a Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations. The ID verification form will be made available when the grant opens. You will need to provide photo identification to prove your identity and proof that you live in Queensland.

Who will be able to apply?

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be a woman aged 18 years or older.
  • Reside in Queensland.
  • Be an Australian citizen.
  • Be unemployed for six months or more and ready to re-enter the workforce.
  • Provide the required evidence and not have received funding from this program previously.
