What is expected of an organisation if they are successful in this grant program

Empowering Queensland Women (EQW) grant program is to support community groups and organisations across Queensland to develop and deliver initiatives that align with the Queensland Government’s strategic priorities for women and girls.

In 2025, a particular priority is addressing the unique issues faced by women and girls that prevent them from achieving economic security.

If your application is successful your organisation will be required to:

  • Enter into a service agreement with the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism before receiving the grant funding.
  • Provide a certificate of currency for insurance prior to funds being released. At a minimum, applicants must hold public liability insurance to the value of at least $10 million.
  • Complete an EFT Vendor Registration form (example)
  • Acknowledge the funding source (the Queensland Government) on any printed or promotional material relating to the project or activity, including websites this is just the Queensland Government logo,
  • Following the delivery of the funded project complete an activity report outlining the project and outcomes achieved, AND
  • Comply with the Community Services Act 2007.

What reporting is required

  • Once you have completed your activity, we will require your organisation to complete a final activity report through SmartyGrants. This will require you to provide the following information:
    • How many people participated in your project/activity/initiative?
    • Detail the outcomes of your project, this will be a written response where you will detail:
    • What outcomes were achieved overall from the project? This is your opportunity to tell us the results of your project, activity or initiative.
    • Provide copies of any resources, videos, photos, audio files that you make as part of your project, initiative or activity.
    • Provide information on any social media activities undertaken as part of the project to promote the project including where you have acknowledged Queensland Government funding.
    • Provide any information on website developments or webpage set up as part of the project, activity or initiative.
