Every year we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women and girls across the state as part of Queensland Women’s Week.
The week is also a time to:
- reflect on the work we all still need to do to achieve gender equality
- raise awareness of women's issues
- inspire action.
Our theme
This year we’re holding Queensland Women’s Week during the week of 3 to 10 March 2024.
The theme for the week is Count Her In.
Economic empowerment is central to us achieving gender equality. When women have equal opportunities to earn, learn and lead, our communities thrive.
What’s on
During the week you can go to events and activities across the state to connect and share stories with women and girls. We’ll also celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March.
