In 2022 the Islamic Women’s Association of Australia (IWAA) delivered a Cultural Messaging for Community Safety project.
The Safe and Diverse Communities Grant Program invested $24,650 in the project.
The project saw IWAA deliver 4 workshops to inform leaders within the community about sexual, domestic and family violence.
The workshops culminated in the creation of in-language domestic and family violence prevention resources. These are being used to inform and assist culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
On 28 November 2022 IWAA launched their It Starts with Respect video project on Facebook.
