The Women's Career Grants program aims to ease financial barriers to employment and help women rejoin the workforce with confidence.

With grants of up to $4,999, this initiative helps cover the costs of transitioning back into work for women who’ve been out of the workforce for six months or more.

Applications have closed

The highly successful Women’s Career Grants initiative has been met with an incredible response from women across the state.  As a result, applications for the second round have now closed. Eligible applications have now exceeded the $5 million available this round.

The Queensland Government has committed $20 million to support this important program over four years, ensuring there will be more opportunities in future rounds.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be a woman aged 18 years or older.
  • Reside in Queensland.
  • Be an Australian citizen.
  • Be unemployed for six months or more and ready to re-enter the workforce.
  • Provide the required evidence and not have received funding from this program previously.
