Women's Economic Security Statement

The 2026-27 Women’s Economic Security Statement outlines how the Government is delivering practical support for Queensland women at every stage of life.

It highlights investments that help women:

• participate in the workforce
• build skills and confidence
• access affordable and secure housing
• receive healthcare closer to home
• balance work and family responsibilities
• stay safe in their communities
• create greater financial independence.

Key progress

• More than 29,000 Queensland Women have gained employment since October 2024 (ABS, Labour Force, trend, 2026)
• Almost 47,000 Queensland women gained a VET qualification in 2024-25 (Queensland Government, VET activity data and statistics, 2026)
• Women account for 52.1% of recipients of Queensland Government small business grants (Women’s Economic Security Wellbeing Report, 2025)
