What you like most about your job

Working with fantastic people. Being able to look after people so they enjoy their work, are engaged, productive and able to take on opportunities to develop their skills. Assisting my team to safely meet or exceed targets and deliver improvements.

Typical day at work

An early start to check on plant and mine production and agree on any responses needed. Safety interactions with staff. Update on maintenance concerns or progress and agree on plans if needed. Meet with leaders and people requiring support or to update or recognise work progress. Planning and scheduling work and review/completion of technical reports and briefs. Work with support teams to ensure strategic objectives are being met.

Advice for other women

There are no boundaries but the ones you set for yourself. Work hard, learn and believe in your abilities. Mining provides many great career paths for women.
