Smart Women - Smart State Awards

The Smart Women - Smart State Awards shine the spotlight on women and girls who are leading the way in science, engineering and information and communication technology (ICT). The awards recognise Queensland's brightest women and girls achieving in their education or careers in non-traditional fields.

Community Innovation Award

The inaugural Community Innovation Award will showcase the achievements of a woman or group of women contributing to an Indigenous community in an innovative and positive way.

Nominations for the Community Innovation Award closed 18 July 2008. Information on the awards finalists and their exciting projects will be posted in the coming months.

Winners will be announced at the Smart Women – Smart State Awards 2008 ceremony held in Brisbane on 2 September 2008.
