Register of nominees

The Queensland Government is committed to increasing the number of women in leadership and decision-making positions - including on government boards.

If you are suitably qualified and interested in getting involved on a board, you may wish to join the Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies, a database of Queenslanders from many backgrounds with varying interests and experiences. It is used when nominations are sought for membership to Queensland boards and authorities.

All information is confidential and can only be accessed by written request from government departments seeking nominees for appointments on government boards and authorities. Registrants are issued a request to update their personal details and curricula vitae on an annual basis.

When nominations are sought for membership on government bodies, the information on the database is matched against search criteria and suitable names are forwarded to the requesting agency or Minister. The final nomination is made by the requesting agency.

Membership on the Register does not guarantee appointment to a government board or statutory authority, nor does it commit you to accepting an appointment if it is offered.

To join the Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies visit the Department of Premier and Cabinet's Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies website or download the registration form (PDF 223 KB).
