Women into local government resources

There are several publications and web resources which may help you to find out more about running for local council.

Office for Women

The Office for Women has published the following information papers. One deals specifically with women's representation in local government and the other addresses women's leadership more generally.

Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation

More information about the Local Government portfolio within the Department is available.

The Department will be publishing a series of information resources for people interested in becoming elected representatives in local government. These will be linked here when they become available.
