Our Women, Our State Awards 2009

The Our Women, Our State Awards recognised the achievements of Queensland girls and women in building brighter futures for other females in Queensland's science, engineering and technology industries.

In celebration of Queensland's 150th birthday, the awards also included a special Great Queensland Woman Award, which recognised the significant efforts of one outstanding Queensland woman in achieving progress for women in our state.

The Smart Women - Smart State Awards program recognised and rewarded outstanding Queensland women and girls, particularly those excelling in science, engineering and technology, from 2003 to 2008.
